About Broadcloth Studio
These days, I’m most excited about projects that function as interactive guidebooks rather than rigid patterns—frameworks that encourage creative exploration and personal interpretation. My goal is to provide quilters with the tools to experiment, play, and discover their own artistic voice. This approach is at the heart of my book, Quilting Adventures, which offers quilters a fresh perspective on design and improvisation.
Over the years, I’ve collaborated with a number of partners across the crafting industry. Some highlights include writing for Love Patchwork & Quilting and Curated Quilts, designing projects for Purl Soho and LoveCrafts, and filming workshops for The Crafter’s Box and Domestika, among other partnerships.
Broadcloth Studio is all about creating space for curiosity, improvisation, and community. Whether you follow a pattern or forge your own path, I hope you find joy in the process and confidence in your creativity.

Hi there! I’m Amanda, the quilter, designer, and writer behind Broadcloth Studio.
For as long as I can remember, making has been a constant in my life. There’s something transformative about working with my hands—it shifts my perspective and draws me into the process. Quilting, in particular, strikes a balance between structure and spontaneity. When I’m cutting, piecing, and stitching, I often find myself in a state of flow, fully immersed in the rhythm of making.
