Tart & Sweet

It’s August, fellow crazy quilters, and I’m having a hard time figuring out where the beginning of summer went.  I’m trying not to waste too much time thinking about it, instead focusing my energy on eating as much summer fruit as possible (hello, stone fruit season!).  And this week, I’m tackling the foundation of the fruit salad: pineapples (shall we say “nom nom”?):

  1. Easy-pineapple-easy: here’s a great tutorial to start churning out pineapple after pineapple (and a great way to tackle that scrap stash too!)
  2. Tempted to dip your toes in the sea of paper piecing? Here’s a fun and tiny pineapple pin cushion project to dive in with
  3. Not seeing the “pineapple” in the pattern? I’m loving this more literal historical representation (and this one too): I’m totally thinking of bringing this pattern back on a pillow (or two)
  4. Need something even more literal?  Here’s a cute little pixelated pineapple pattern (free too!) for all your block needs
  5. And best of all: a giveaway with a pineapple connection (closes Saturday, so pop on over quickly)
